Privacy Policy

Responsible operator SABIA Botanicals GmbH, hereinafter referred to as ‘we’, as the operator of the website www.sabialife.com is responsible for the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR.

With this data protection information, we would like to explain to you transparently how we collect, process and protect your data.

Type of data

When we talk about data, we are referring to personal data. This is information that enables a person to be identified, such as a name or IP address. Our aim is to ensure data protection and to collect only the data that is absolutely necessary. However, the processing of certain data is unavoidable for the provision of our services on our website.

External data processing

Please note that this policy only covers the processing of your data by us. Data processing by third parties, including other websites and service providers, is beyond our control and responsibility. We endeavour to work exclusively with partners who follow the same data protection principles as we do. Nevertheless, we advise you to familiarise yourself with the data protection guidelines of our partners and check whether you can agree to them.

Overview of topics

Under ‘Your rights’, we provide you with an overview of the rights to which you are entitled with regard to the processing of your data.

In the ‘Data processing’ section, we explain what data we collect from you and how.

In the ‘Legal bases’ section, we explain the conditions under which we may process data and when this is not the case.

In ‘Explanation of terms’, we explain the most important terms in our privacy policy to help you better understand them. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Your rights

Right to information
You can ask us at any time how and which of your data we process. This includes all processes in which your data is involved.

Right to correction, deletion or restriction
You can instruct us to correct, delete or restrict the processing of your data. Please note, however, that certain legal obligations require us to continue to store or process parts of your data.

Right to object
If you have given us permission to process certain data about you, you can withdraw this permission or object to it at any time. We will stop processing your data as soon as possible, in accordance with your wishes. Please note that withdrawing your consent to data processing may result in our services being restricted.

Right to request data transfer
You can ask us to transfer your data to another provider. We can only fulfil this request if this does not affect the data of third parties and the data transfer is technically feasible and appropriate.

Right to lodge a complaint
Finally, you are free to complain to a data protection supervisory authority about our practices regarding your data at any time.

Data processing

As soon as we process your data, you have the following rights with regard to this data:

Data from your browser | server log files
So that you can use our website securely and without errors, we have a legitimate interest in protecting it by means of various procedures. Therefore, when you use our website, your data is stored in so-called server log files and cookies for twelve months. These log all enquiries and accesses to our website and also store any error messages. The processed data is only used for the statistical evaluation of visits to the website, to check for possible misuse and to secure the website, e.g. to defend against ‘hacker attacks’ (DDoS attacks).

When you visit our website, we store the following data:

Comments
If you comment on our website, you agree that we will store your chosen name and email address in a cookie for twelve months from the time you create the comment. We store this data because we have a legitimate interest in protecting the security of everyone who uses our website, to ensure the general security of our website and to increase your comfort when using our site.

Contact form
You can use our contact form to get in touch with us. When using it, you agree to provide us with your e-mail address and other data if you choose to do so. We will use the data to process your enquiry and delete the corresponding data again after your enquiry has been completed, provided no other contractual relationship arises between us.

Cookies management | Consent Tool
We use software (Consent Tool) from the provider Shopify, which gives you the opportunity to select your personal data protection settings before visiting our website in order to individually consent to or reject the processing of your data. In order for this software to save your selection, we need to create a cookie that documents your selection. This cookie is required to enable your visit to our website. If you also do not want a cookie to be set in this context, you will not be able to use our website.

Newsletter | Emails
If you register with your e-mail address and possibly your name, you consent to us regularly sending you our newsletter or e-mails with interesting content. As software we use the service of the provider MailChimp.

Website analysis
If you consent to the use of cookies, we will use Google Analytics from the provider GOOGLE to analyse our website and thereby improve our service. We use this software to statistically analyse visits to our website and create an overview of how you and other visitors use our website. During this analysis, your IP address is shortened and therefore stored anonymously. The purpose of the process is not to be able to identify you personally, but solely to statistically analyse all visits to our website.

Tracking | Marketing
If you have consented to the use of the relevant cookies, we will use so-called tracking on our website and beyond in order to show you advertising from us that corresponds to your presumed interests. You can find out which providers we use for this under

Our rights and legal basis

The protection of your data is important to us. We will only process data if it is necessary or if you consent to the processing. So that you can better understand when processing is necessary or what exactly ‘consent’ means, we would like to explain the reasons why we process data.

Consent - Art. 6 para. 1 a GDPR
If the law requires consent to process your data, we will ask you for it. You can of course also withdraw this consent.

Necessity - Art. 6 para. 1 b GDPR
We require certain data from you for some of our services. If you do not provide us with data in such cases, we will not be able to provide these services. For example, we require your data if you wish to use our online shop or access our website.

Legal obligation - Art. 6 para. 1 c GDPR
In some cases, we are legally obliged to process your data. In these cases, your rights are restricted and we must continue to store your data, even if you do not want us to.

Protection of vital interests - Art. 6 para. 1 d GDPR
In exceptional cases, the processing of data may be necessary to protect vital interests. In this case, we are also authorised to process data.

Legitimate interest - Art. 6 para. 1 f GDPR
Sometimes we process your data because we have a legitimate interest in doing so. This means that the processing serves to offer our services and that this processing does not disproportionately affect your own interests. This may be done, for example, to protect our website or to improve our services.

Further legal bases

We would like to point out that, in addition to the GDPR, there are other legal bases that may authorise or restrict processing. In particular, the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), which applies in Germany, should be mentioned here. If a regulation from the BDSG or other laws is also affected, we will point this out to you at the appropriate point.

Explanation of terms

Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer or device. They contain information about the fact that you have already visited our website. This information is used to make your visit to our website as effective and convenient as possible. Some cookies are only created during your visit and are deleted afterwards.

Some cookies are essential for the use of our website. If you do not allow these essential cookies - for example via your browser settings - this can lead to considerable functional restrictions on our website.

We do not set cookies against your will unless they are essential for the provision of our website.

When using a website, it may happen that cookies are set by third parties. In this case, we draw your attention to this and ask you to also observe the data protection provisions of the providers who have set the corresponding cookie.

Further information

Updates
We may have to amend our privacy policy for various reasons. This may be due to a change in the law or jurisdiction or due to a change in our services on our website. When you visit our website, the current version of our privacy policy always applies.

Storage period
We usually store cookies for 24 months, unless we inform you otherwise.

Further instructions and software from third parties
In order to be able to fulfil our other services and thus our contractual obligations, we have to use applications, including software, from other providers. These applications are not operated on our own systems, but on the systems of our service providers.

Social networks
We use various social networks to get in touch with you, to present our services and to inform you about new offers or changes. These social networks process your data in order to provide their services. This includes information such as your name, your e-mail address, the content you have posted and information about your use of the networks, such as which posts you have commented on or liked.

Please note that we have no control over how these social networks process your data. We therefore recommend that you read the privacy policies and terms of use of the individual networks to gain a better understanding of how they use and protect your data. In most cases, you have the option to customise your privacy settings on the social networks in order to retain control over your data.

We may also use your interactions on social networks to improve our services. This could include, for example, analysing trends that we can derive from your comments or likes. However, we would always use this information anonymously and not link it to your personal data.

We also occasionally use the advertising services of social networks to show you targeted adverts. Again, we have no direct control over what data is used by the social networks for these purposes. However, you can usually customise your advertising settings to control the type of advertising you see.

Finally, we would like to point out that we occasionally provide links to our social networks on our website. If you use these links, you will be redirected to the social network's website and the network's privacy policy and terms of use will apply. We recommend that you read these carefully before using the services.
